FCG presents Bodega F Schatz, Ronda
Rapidly gaining fame, along with many awards, as one of Spain's finest Bodega owners, the vine grower Friedrich Schatz comes from a German family, linked since 1641 to vine growing in Wuerttemberg.
In 1982 F. Schatz started cultivating top quality wine on his estate in Ronda, Andalucia. He planted several grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Lemberger, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot, Merlot and others resulting today in his popular exhalted wines.
Friedrich's philosophy on 100% organically grown top quality wines:
Traditional and modern methods of viticulture have to be complementary to one another. The soil nutrition is done in a natural cycle.
F. Schatz works constantly to maintain the optimum equilibrium between foliar mass and fruit (foliage on the vines and grapes), to achieve the best possible results, which, through deposit of essential mineral elements in the grapes and careful vinification, is later reflected in the Award-Winning wine.
The totally organic cultivation of the F. Schatz vines and the wine preparation in Finca Sanguijuela, Ronda are controlled by the CAAE organisation (Andalusian Committee of Organic Farming), which carries out frequent analyses. The total production is limited to approximately 15,000 bottles (of which 70% are red wines, 25% white wines and 5% are rosé wine) reaches national and international markets after between 3 and 24 months ageing as an annual wine (mono-variety and 'coupage').
